  • Lead, develop and mentor site purchasing team
  • Recommend and implement improvements of Supply Chain processes
    and procedures, providing significant reduction of Cost of Goods, and improvement of the overall product GPM
  • Implement strategies provided by Global Supply Chain team
  • Work in a multi-customer I multi-product environment, supporting both R&D and production
  • Manage contracts and T&C’s compliance to ensure most positive results for the company
  • Work closely with the Global Supply Chain Management and Quality teams:
    • Supplier portfolio management & rationalization
    • Supplier selection and auditing
    • Enhancement of the supply chain process standardization
    • Optimization of material costs according to TCO concept
  • Maximize utilization of the supply chain tools to enhance the supply chain's agility
  • Introduce LEAN practices within the Purchasing team
  • Develop and maintain close business relationships with Planning, Production, R&D, CSR and Sales teams to align on forecast and demand signals for proper setting of the materials requirements.
  • Material Management using SAP, including but not limited to:
    • Master Data (Material & Vendor Master)
    • Inventory Management
    • Valuation of Material & Account Determination
    • Material Requirement Planning
    • Invoice Verification, etc.
  • Manage Production and NPI purchasing activities by partnering with CSR, Planning, Production and R&D and Manufacturing Engineering teams to:
    • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks according to COMET’s BCP procedure
    • Assure uninterrupted but optimized flow of materials
    • Reduce spending to a minimum needed level
    • Reduce Lead Times w/o increasing liabilities Increase positive PPV (e.g. cost reductions)
    • Improve supply chain reporting processes
  • Strict management and improvement of inventory levels (ITO)
  • Proper reporting of Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Participate in company-wide Supply Chain
    projects that directly or indirectly impact COMET USA Supply Chain team

Experience, Technical Skills, and Education Required:

  • BA/BS degree required with a focus in Supply Chain preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience of Purchasing Management experience in the high-tech manufacturing industry
  • 8+ years of team management experience
  • Strong project management experience; ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Excellent understanding of Supply Chain management in the Contract Manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Advanced SAP user background (or top tier system), including Master Data
  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing equipment is a strong plus
  • Experience hiring, leading, mentoring, and improving skill sets of the Supply Chain team
  • Individual must be highly motivated and able to work with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office software tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot process gaps and inefficiencies, leading to resolution
  • Superior attention to detail and process improvement; data-driven decision making
  • Ability to effectively communicate to very different audiences in different functions and geographic locations as well as exhibit tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
