Warehouse Associate / Material Handler (TEMP with Opportunity for Conversion)

Overview:

The Warehouse Associate receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the Comet Technologies USA Inc. warehouse by performing the following duties:
Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform General warehouse, shipping, receiving, kitting, inventory duties
  • Conduct physical inventory counts as required
  • Sub-assembling kit’s utilizing process documentation (Pick-List/Work Orders) and Bill of Materials.
  • Ensures all materials are accounted for with no shortages
  • Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  • Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Opening bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Completing requisition (i.e. Material Transfers, Shipping Requisition etc.) forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Preparing parcels for mailing.
  • Organizing warehouse and work area. Sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
  • Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe.
  • Responsiveness to outside communication methods. (Email, Phone etc.)



Skills and Technical Qualifications Required:

  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience in the semi-conductor or related high tech industry
  • MS Outlook; email proficiency
  • Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems); SAP experience preferred
  • Able to work in shifts, as required
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other powered material movement equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Must be conscientious of safety and adhere strictly to safety rules and regulations, including the willingness and ability to wear the appropriate safety equipment when required
